India has an third fase of vaccination drive, initially the vaccination process was opened up for doctors nurses and frontline workers and then for the people above the age of 45 years and now all the citizens between the age of 18 and 44 can get themselves immunized in the country.
So, you first have to register yourself on the government official website called CoWIN using your Aadhaar Card, PAN card, Passport or any such identity proof and then you have to book an appointment to get your vaccine slots. So, when you get your first dose of vaccine you get a provisional vaccination certificate and when you receive your second dose of the vaccine you get a final digital vaccination certificate and why do you need it ?
So, imagine you have received both the doses of Covid-19 vaccine, But can you prove it !
That's why this vaccine certificate will helps you. it is an Official Document issued by the government of India that prove you have been vaccinated. it has a 13 digit beneficiary id using which you can see all the details including the name of the Vaccine, the person who vaccinated you the place and the date of the vaccine.
So, this vaccination certificate will help you in travelling purposes and may be at your workplace. You can download it via Arogya Setu app or government official website, and then save it on your phone or computer. some people are receiving the physical certificate at the time of getting vaccinated but some have to download it online.
Now, Let's see how you can download it online
1) Using CoWIN website:
Go to www.cowin.gov.in on your phone on laptop and tap this orange box "register / sign in" right at the top.
You will be taken to another web page now enter your mobile number the one that you used to register yourself for vaccination and then tap on "Get OTP"
You can see all the details of doses here. you will now see a certificate button just below dose-1 and dose-2. Since I have received only the first dose, I will tap on the certificate button right below dose-1, but you receive the second dose also then you will find certificate option below the dose-2. which will be the final vaccination certificate.
On clicking that a PDF of the certificate will be automatically download it, you can save this on your mobile or laptop.
2) Using Arogya Setu app:
You can also download your vaccination certificate through "Arogya Setu app"
Open it on your phone and tap the vaccination options from the top. Now enter your mobile number and tap "proceed" to verify.
you will get an OTP type that and tap "proceed" to verify.
Tap on the download icon under the doses and download the file.
After downloading you can save it on your computer or phone or may be take a printout for future purposes. Do share it with your friends and family so they can also download their vaccination certificate and keep them safely.
