A former investment banker, Rishi Sunak is the son of Indian immigrants. He was born in 1979 and grew up in England.

He attended Oxford University and studied politics, philosophy and economics. After graduating from Oxford, he joined the London-based asset management firm Terra Firma Capital Partners.

He left the firm after 10 years to pursue a career in British politics.

Rishi Sunak is a British Conservative politician and author. Born on 29th December 1982, he was educated at Winchester College before studying Arabic and History of the Middle East as an undergraduate at Oxford University. He was elected to represent the Thirsk and Malton seat in Parliament for the Conservatives in June 2017 following the retirement of Sir Alan Duncan.

His early political career began when he became a member of David Cameron's policy unit from 2013-2015, before becoming a parliamentary private secretary to Justine Greening from 2015-2017.

In 2016, he became an international advisor to George Osborne, who had been made editor of London's Evening Standard newspaper after stepping down as Chancellor of the Exchequer.

Rishi Sunak was born on 27 December 1976 in London. He went to Westminster School and then attended Trinity College, Oxford University.

After graduating from Oxford, he studied law at the University of London before returning to Oxford for a Masters degree in Law. He then completed his training with a pupillage at One Essex Court before joining Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP as a trainee solicitor.
